We Answer: It will be the second Tyler location of the fast-growing Texas-based Iced Tea chain HTeaO.
As we predicted, a 104K sq ft BJ's will be filling the large anchor spot at Parkside.
It was disclosed at today's City of Tyler Planning & Zoning Commission meeting that the anchor of the retail portion of the Parkside development will indeed be BJ's Wholesale Club, as we had speculated on August 2nd.
What is BJ's Wholesale Club?
BJ's is a membership warehouse club, similar to Sam's Club and Costco, that is based out of Massachusetts. BJ's recently launched a major expansion into Texas with four locations already under construction around DFW and in Forney. BJ's currently has roughly 275 units in operation, mostly in the Northeast, Midwest, and South.
BJ's offerings are quite similar to Sam's and Costco's, but many items at BJ's are offered in smaller package sizes that better suit smaller households. BJ's will also offer gas and tires.
Tyler BJ's Details
The Parkside BJ's will be 104k square feet in size, which is roughly twice the size of Super 1 across the road. There will be a 16-pump fuel center as well as a tire center.
Location
The BJ's building will be just south of Cumberland Road and about 200 feet back from Broadway.
