The $12 million two-story facility near FRESH will expand UT Health East Texas services in a fast-growing part of Tyler.
What Services Will It Offer?
The first floor of this new UT Health East Texas facility will house extended-hours urgent care with an imaging center and offer outpatient physical therapy services.
The urgent care center will specialize in orthopedics, addressing sprains, strains, broken bones, and fractures. Additionally, it will provide walk-in services for minor illnesses and injuries, such as fever, colds, flu, and lacerations requiring stitches.
The second floor will be dedicated to orthopedics and sports medicine specialties.
This site will also be crucial in medical education for sports medicine and orthopedics, focusing on preparing future healthcare providers in those specialties.
When Will It Be Complete?
Initially, completion was expected in 2024, but delays have postponed it to the summer of 2025.
Location
Three Lakes Pkwy at Old Jacksonville Hwy near FRESH, adjacent to the existing UT Health East Texas Physicians clinic. That clinic offers family medicine, internal medicine, facial plastics, and ear, nose, and throat services.
