Part of the Development and Road Improvements Planned Along the I-20 Lindale Corridor
Lindale Crossing will take advantage of new roads and road improvements, making this location prime for significant development. TEXDOT will add two-lane frontage roads along
I-20 between 69 (South Main Street) and Harvey Road. Additionally, plans are underway to widen and improve Harvey Road.
Other projects, both planned and underway, will add multiple new roads and accessibility for development throughout the I-20/69 area on both sides of 69.
Expect to see multiple developments underway in this corridor in the coming years!
What Will Lindale Crossing Be?
The Lindale Crossing development, as proposed, is planned to be a 69-acre mixed-use project incorporating numerous restaurant and retail sites, a hotel, apartments, professional office space, and self-storage.
The most prominent piece of the project at the corner of I-20 and Harvey Road will be occupied by the first East Texas location of The Texan, a fast-growing gas station --convenience store brand based out of Yorktown, Texas.
What is The Texan?
The Texan in Lindale will be a sizeable 22,000-square-foot Gas Station, Retail Store, and Travel Center focused on fast, fresh, made-to-order food service with available indoor seating, snacks, gift and convenience items, clean restrooms, and a positive customer experience. It is expected to attract both locals and travelers on I-20.
When Will the Texan Be Open?
According to the Lindale Economic Development Corp, construction was expected to begin in late 2024, with a grand opening in 2025. However, as of the end of December, no visible progress can be seen, so we are guessing that it may be delayed.
Location
The northeast corner of the Interstate 20 and Harvey Road intersection in Lindale, Texas.
The site is directly across I-20 from Target’s 1.6 million sq. ft. distribution center, FedEx’s new 163,000 sq. ft. distribution center, and directly across Harvey Road from Lindale EDC's planned office park.
